Intensive Spanish courses of four or two hours of class a day, from Monday to Friday, are offered all year long, for a minimum of two weeks. According to your previous knowledge of Spanish you can start a course at various levels: beginners (level 1 and 2), intermediate (level 1 and 2) and advanced. To ensure individual attention, we limit our class size to no more than 9 students.

Classes include: grammar, written and oral excercises, and conversation on subjects of Spanish culture, history and society. Qualified native speakers, modern educational methods and materials and our emphasis on communication techniques ensure that our students feel comfortable speaking to the villagers during their stay in Cómpeta and throughout their visit to Spain.

Santa Clara Academia de Idiomas also offers special courses of preparation for the "Diploma Español como Lengua Extranjera" (D.E.L.E.). You can obtain this internationally acknowledged diploma by taking one of the exams under the supervision of the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science. The examinations take place once or twice a year at three levels: inicial, intermedio and superior.

D.E.L.E. courses consist of 4 hours of intensive course plus 1 hour specific preparation for the D.E.L.E. exam. Beginner 2 plus an extra hour prepares you for the D.E.L.E. inicial exam; Intermediate plus an extra hour for D.E.L.E. intermedio. Preparation for D.E.L.E. superior can be combined with an advanced course, on request.

The regular courses, mainly aimed at those who stay in the region for a longer period of time or even permanently, also run throughout the year, except for the summer period. Classes are twice a week. The courses consist of one part 'linguistic skills' and the other 'conversation'.

Private classes and tailor-made courses can be arranged at any moment, according to your personal wishes and interests.
